Reason for urgency:
The current contract for Lone Worker devices, with Reliance Hi-tech expired on 31/08/2022. NDC was lined up to renew the contract with Reliance Hi-tech for another 3 years, but having compared offerings on the NHS Supply Chain Framework costings were more favorable with another company. Due to a number of issues, it was not possible to line up the new contract to begin on 01/09/2022, so to prevent a gap in lone worker protection for our employees, a 1 month extension to the current contract was sought. In accordance with Para 24.1(e) Contract Procedure Rules the value of this change/extension is less than 10% of the overall value of the contract.
