Decision details
Larkstone Watersports Hub - Lime Kiln and Bridge Link Works
Decision Maker: Chief Financial Officer
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
To provide a seating area on the top of the
Lime Kiln at Larkstone Watersports and a bridge link to the
Café Balcony to increase occupancy numbers and improve
viability.
Reasons for the decision:
Obtaining three price quotes is not
appropriate.
Pearce Construction were the main contractor for the Larkstone
Watersport Hub which was completed in July 2023, the link to the
Lime Kiln is the next phase of works to complete the overall
project. We have funding in place from the Rural Prosperity Fund
and Funds need to be committed by March 2024. The café needs
this space to be ready for occupation before this years season
starts, by Easter if possible. Pearce have the contact with the
suppliers from the original project which is necessary to match
this element. The project would be managed by the same team as the
original project. This will make the project deliverable in the
timeframes and budget required.
